This is where we will post our frequently asked questions when we finally get some frequently asked questions. Send your questions to GreensboroAquarium@gmail.com and we'll get back to you as quickly as possible.
1. Could the Downtown Greensboro Aquarium be tied in with the North Carolina Zoo in nearby Asheboro, North Carolina?
While we have no control over the operations of the NC Zoo, we will make every effort to network with the NC Zoo in such a way as to make both the zoo and the aquarium more successful. It is in both our interest to do so. There are lots of ways multiple attractions and venues in close proximity to one another can work together to ensure that everyone wins.
2. What about the new aquarium at the Greensboro Natural Science Center? Wouldn't a downtown aquarium put it out of business?
The Natural Science Center aquarium will contain some of the rarest species in the world in a much smaller and more intimate setting. We will not duplicate the NatSci exhibits. Rather than compete with the Natural Science Center we are thinking we could offer shuttle services between the two and discount admissions to the Greensboro Natural Science Center and other City owned attractions that might be willing to work with us.
3. What about privately owned attractions, will the aquarium work with them as well?
The Downtown Greensboro Aquarium is willing to discuss working with any and all local attractions and venues as our primary goal is to benefit Greensboro and the North Carolina Piedmont Triad.
