But better yet, we learn from the mistakes of others. That's why, instead of meeting behind closed doors and conjuring up a scheme to hook you on the idea of a Downtown Greensboro Aquarium and leaving you with no choice but to be reeled in, like it or not, we decided to go public with our ideas both here and on our Facebook page so that you can decide for yourselves if our ideas have merit.
We also want to hear your ideas. We've never built an aquarium before, we can't possibly know everything there is to know about it. What did you like best about the other aquariums you've seen? What would you change? What did you go there hoping to see only to be disappointed? What made your visit exceptional and what, if anything, turned you off?
Have questions? Concerns? I know, you want to know where the money is coming from, right? Who's going to pay to build it and how much? Truth be told we're still trying to figure that out but rest assured we've learned enough from those other guy's mistakes that we'll not keep the answers or the questions a secret. And as soon as we know we'll post the answers online for everyone to see.
So are we really that much smarter than those other guys? Probably not but we learned from their mistakes. Besides, secrets are hard to keep.
